SanRex — PK130F-160 Thyristor Module 1600 V • 130 A IT(AV) • Dual-Element PK Configuration • Electrically Isolated Baseplate
What it is

The SanRex PK130F-160 is a 1600 V, 130 A power thyristor module designed for industrial rectifier circuits and power-control applications. The PK130F family incorporates two semiconductor elements in a single package with an electrically isolated mounting base, simplifying heatsink installation and mechanical design.

With high surge-current capability, 200 A/µs di/dt capability and 500 V/µs dv/dt immunity, the PK130F-160 is suited to demanding rectifier, AC/DC motor-drive, heater-control, light-dimmer and static-switching applications.

At-a-Glance
  • Voltage Rating: 1600 V VDRM / VRRM
  • Average On-State Current: 130 A IT(AV)
  • RMS On-State Current: 205 A IT(RMS)
  • Surge Current: 4000 A @ 50 Hz / 4400 A @ 60 Hz
  • Dynamic Ratings: 500 V/µs dv/dt • 200 A/µs di/dt
  • Isolation: 2500 VRMS for 1 minute
  • Applications: Rectifiers; AC/DC motor drives; heater controls; light dimmers; static switches
Features
  • High surge capability — 4000 A @ 50 Hz / 4400 A @ 60 Hz non-repetitive peak surge current.
  • High I²t capability — 80,000 A²s rating for one cycle of surge current.
  • Rugged switching performance — 200 A/µs critical di/dt and 500 V/µs minimum critical dv/dt.
  • Low on-state voltage — VTM maximum 1.40 V at IT = 400 A, Tj = 25°C.
  • Fast triggering — turn-on time of 10 µs maximum under specified conditions.
  • Electrically isolated baseplate — 2500 VRMS isolation simplifies heatsink installation.
