What it is

The Semikron SKKT 162/16E is an industrial-grade 1600 V, 156 A dual thyristor/SCR power module housed in the proven SEMIPACK 2 package. Designed for high-power controlled rectification and phase-control applications, the module combines two thyristor elements in a compact, heatsink-mounted assembly with an electrically isolated baseplate.

With a 250 A RMS current rating, 5000 A non-repetitive surge capability and high electrical and thermal cycling capability, the SKKT 162/16E is well suited to industrial rectifiers, motor controls, soft-start circuits, heater controls, battery chargers, welding equipment and other demanding power-conversion systems.
