What it is

The SanRex PK55F-160 is a compact 1600 V, 55 A power thyristor module designed for industrial rectifier circuits and power-control applications. The PK55F family combines two semiconductor elements in a precision 25 mm-wide package with an electrically isolated mounting base, simplifying heatsink installation and mechanical design.

With 1750 A non-repetitive surge-current capability, 150 A/µs di/dt capability and 500 V/µs dv/dt immunity, the PK55F-160 is suited to rectifiers, AC/DC motor drives, heater controls, light dimmers and static switching applications.
