The GPS Signature Series SWU300-12FR is a premium 12V 80Ah VRLA AGM battery engineered for demanding UPS, data center, telecommunications, switchgear, control, and mission-critical standby-power applications. Combining substantial energy capacity with exceptional high-rate discharge performance, it is designed to provide dependable backup power when system availability matters most.
Rated at 80Ah at the 20-hour rate and capable of delivering 308 watts per cell at the 15-minute rate (1.67 VPC, 25°C), the SWU300-12FR provides the high-current performance required by commercial UPS systems during short-duration, heavy-load discharge events.
Advanced HT X Alloy™ technology is engineered to improve durability in elevated-temperature standby environments, where conventional lead-acid batteries can experience accelerated aging. Combined with low internal resistance and robust AGM construction, this makes the SWU300-12FR an excellent choice for critical installations requiring both dependable runtime and strong power delivery.
The sealed, maintenance-free design incorporates a flame-retardant UL94V-0 ABS enclosure, flame-arresting one-way venting, epoxy-sealed terminals, and top-mounted M6 connections for secure installation. Its non-spillable AGM construction is designed for professional battery cabinets and critical-power environments while eliminating routine watering requirements.

For UPS applications, amp-hour capacity is only part of battery performance. When utility power fails, a UPS may require very high power from its batteries for only a few minutes. The 308 WPC rating reflects the SWU300-12FR’s ability to deliver substantial power during these short-duration, high-load discharge events.
Combined with its 4.7 mΩ internal resistance, this high-rate capability helps reduce voltage drop under load and supports dependable operation of enterprise UPS systems and other mission-critical equipment.
Heat is one of the primary factors affecting the service life of lead-acid batteries. The SWU300-12FR incorporates HT X Alloy™ technology specifically engineered for demanding standby environments where elevated temperatures can accelerate conventional battery aging.
This makes the SWU300-12FR particularly well suited for UPS rooms, telecommunications facilities, industrial environments, and battery cabinets where thermal conditions may be more challenging than those found in tightly controlled data-center environments.
Service-life note: The 10-year rating is a design-life specification rather than a guaranteed field-service interval. Actual service life depends on temperature, float voltage, discharge frequency and depth, charging conditions, installation environment, and maintenance practices.
