What it is

The Mitsubishi Electric / Powerex CM200DY-24H is a high-power 1200 V, 200 A dual IGBT module containing two IGBTs arranged as a half-bridge. Each switching device incorporates a reverse-connected fast free-wheel diode, providing the current paths required for efficient operation with inductive loads in inverter, motor-drive and industrial power-conversion systems.

The dual-device configuration provides a complete inverter leg in a single insulated module, reducing external high-current interconnections while simplifying heatsink mounting and system assembly. Its 1200 V rating makes the CM200DY-24H particularly useful in higher-voltage DC-link systems where additional voltage headroom is required compared with 600 V IGBT modules.

This module is commonly suited to UPS inverter and rectifier stages, variable-frequency drives, industrial motor controls, welding equipment, power supplies and other high-current switching applications. For legacy equipment, the CM200DY-24H can also provide an important replacement option where the original Mitsubishi module must be matched for electrical characteristics, terminal arrangement and mechanical fit.
