The APC SYMIM5 is the Main Intelligence Module for Symmetra LX UPS systems. It manages power distribution, runtime calculations, alarms, and overall system integrity, functioning as the central control unit.
Unlike earlier Symmetra modules, the SYMIM5 is designed to serve as either the Main Intelligence Module (MIM) or the Redundant Intelligence Module (RIM), depending on slot placement. For N+1 redundancy, two SYMIM5 modules are installed in the UPS frame.
This module is fully hot-swappable, enabling replacement or upgrade without system downtime. Refurbished units include a 1-year replacement warranty.
