The APC SYMIM is the original Main Intelligence Module (MIM) used in early Symmetra Power Array 1:1 UPS systems. It functions as the central controller, managing runtime, load distribution, alarms, and system status.
As a legacy module, the SYMIM was superseded by the SYMIM2, which offers broader compatibility with both 1:1 and 3:1 Symmetra Power Array UPS systems. The SYMIM is not compatible with 3:1 systems and should only be used for 1:1 configurations.
Like newer intelligence modules, the SYMIM is hot-swappable, allowing replacement without shutting down the UPS. Refurbished units include a 1-year replacement warranty.
