Add dual-source power redundancy to single-corded IT equipment with the APC NetShelter AP4450A Rack Automatic Transfer Switch. When the selected power source becomes unavailable or moves outside the configured operating limits, the ATS automatically transfers connected equipment to an acceptable alternate source.
This compact 1U rack-mounted ATS features two A/B input cords with NEMA 5-15P plugs, 10 NEMA 5-15R outlets, and network management. It supports nominal 100/120 V AC operation and a published load capacity of 1440 VA / 1.44 kVA.

Connect inputs A and B to independent, properly protected power sources. Each source must support the full connected load. The two inputs provide redundancy; they do not combine to increase available load capacity.
For UPS-backed installations, APC specifies double-conversion online UPS systems, not line-interactive UPS models. Follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions and verify source compatibility before connecting equipment.
Temperature and humidity monitoring requires a compatible optional sensor. Sensors are not included unless specifically stated in the order.
