Tesla Powerwall 3 — 200A Split Core CT
Powerwall Energy Monitoring — 200A Current Transformer

The Tesla 200A Split Core CT (2033376-00-C) is a current transformer designed for compatible Tesla Powerwall 3 energy systems. The CT installs around an electrical conductor and allows the Tesla energy-management system to measure current flow without placing the monitoring device directly in the high-current circuit.

Its split-core design allows the sensor to open and clamp around an existing conductor, simplifying installation in many retrofit and service applications. When correctly installed and configured, CT measurements help the Powerwall system determine the direction and magnitude of electrical power moving between the utility grid, home loads, solar generation, and battery system.

Gruber brings four decades of experience with critical power systems, batteries, UPS equipment, and power monitoring. We can help identify the proper Tesla Energy components for new installations, repairs, and troubleshooting.

What the 200A Split Core CT does
  • Current monitoring — measures electrical current passing through the conductor enclosed by the CT.
  • Energy-flow visibility — provides measurement data used by the Powerwall system to understand electrical power flow.
  • Split-core installation — opens to fit around an existing conductor without requiring the conductor to pass through a permanently closed sensor.
  • 200A application — designed for compatible monitoring applications requiring a 200-amp current transformer.
  • Tesla system integration — intended for use with compatible Tesla Energy monitoring and control equipment.
Typical Applications
  • Tesla Powerwall 3 energy monitoring
  • Utility grid import and export measurement
  • Home load monitoring
  • Solar and battery energy-flow measurement in compatible configurations
  • Replacement of a damaged or defective compatible Tesla CT
  • Powerwall installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting

Why CT Placement Matters

Current transformers are fundamental to accurate energy monitoring. The location and orientation of the CT determine what electrical flow is being measured and its reported direction. Incorrect placement or orientation can cause inaccurate load, grid, or generation readings and may interfere with proper system monitoring.

Installation & Compatibility

Installation should follow the applicable Tesla installation and commissioning documentation. Verify conductor location, CT orientation, connection point, and system configuration before installation. Because CT requirements can vary with electrical service and Powerwall architecture, confirm that Tesla P/N 2033376-00-C is correct for the intended application before ordering.

💡
Installation tip: CT orientation matters. If a current transformer is installed in the wrong direction or around the wrong conductor, the system may report incorrect power-flow information. Verify placement and orientation during commissioning before assuming the CT itself is defective.
