Fans are one of the highest-wear consumable components in a UPS. Over time, bearings dry out and develop play, blades accumulate dust, motor windings run hotter, and airflow (CFM) can drop long before the fan actually fails. The result is elevated internal temperatures, reduced component life, and a higher risk of nuisance alarms or thermal shutdowns — especially in warm data-center environments.
Replacing aging fans restores peak cooling performance and helps protect capacitors, IGBTs, rectifiers, and power supplies from heat stress.
