The Tesla Gateway 3V is a central control and energy-management component designed for compatible Tesla Powerwall energy-storage systems. Installed between the home’s electrical service, Powerwall equipment, solar generation, and utility connection as applicable, the Gateway coordinates energy flow and provides the system-level control required for compatible backup-power installations.
During normal operation, the Gateway works with the Tesla energy system to monitor and manage power moving between the utility, home loads, solar generation, and battery storage. In a properly configured backup installation, it also plays a critical role in managing the transition between grid-connected and backup operation during a utility outage.
Designed for compatible Tesla Powerwall residential energy-storage and backup-power systems. Typical applications include new Powerwall installations, solar-plus-storage systems, backup-power configurations, system upgrades, and replacement of a compatible Gateway during service or repair.
