Contactor — ABB AE16-30-00
3-Pole • DC-Coil IEC Contactor • Tested Reclaimed Part

Genuine ABB A-Line contactor professionally removed from a functioning system, then cleaned, inspected, and shop-tested. A fast, like-for-like replacement when uptime matters. Verify the coil voltage shown on the contactor nameplate before installation.

Where it’s used (typical)
  • Three-phase motor starters and other AC-3 motor-control applications
  • General power switching, isolation, lighting, and slightly inductive loads
  • UPS and industrial power equipment, including fans, pumps, and control assemblies, as originally designed
  • Capacitor-switching applications when properly selected for the circuit and expected inrush current

Rated operational current — AC-1 30 A at 40 °C; 27 A at 55 °C; 23 A at 70 °C (at 690 V)
Rated operational current — AC-3 17 A at 220–415 V; 16 A at 440 V; 14 A at 500 V; 10 A at 690 V (ratings shown at 55 °C)
Rated operational power — AC-3 4 kW at 220/230/240 V; 7.5 kW at 380/400 V; 9 kW at 415–690 V
Rated operational voltage (Ue) Up to 690 V AC or 220 V DC for the main power circuit
Insulation / impulse rating Ui: 1000 V per IEC; 600 V per UL/CSA; Uimp: 8 kV
Control circuit (coil) DC operated with a standard double-winding DC coil and factory-mounted transition contact (exact coil voltage is identified by the complete suffix and nameplate)
Coil verification Match the applied DC control voltage to the voltage printed on the installed coil before energizing
Poles & auxiliaries 3 normally open main contacts; no built-in auxiliary contacts; compatible add-on auxiliary blocks available
Terminations Screw terminals with cable clamps
Conductor capacity Flexible with ferrule: 0.75–2.5 mm²; rigid conductor: 1–4 mm²
Mounting 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 or screw-mounted to a panel
Dimensions (H × W × D) 74 mm × 44 mm × 74 mm (2.91 in × 1.73 in × 2.91 in)
Weight 0.34 kg (~0.75 lb)
Standards IEC/EN 60947-1 and 60947-4-1 (formerly IEC/EN 947-1 and 947-4-1); UL/CSA certifications as marked
Product status Legacy / discontinued ABB A-Line model; intended as a like-for-like replacement where specifications match
Condition Tested pull — cleaned, inspected, and functionally verified; may show light cosmetic wear consistent with prior service
What “Tested Reclaimed Part” Means
  • Visual inspection for heat discoloration, damaged terminals, cracks, and label condition
  • Mechanical inspection of the armature, contact movement, and spring return
  • Electrical verification of insulation resistance and contactor operation using the coil voltage marked on the unit
  • Continuity verification of all three normally open main poles in the open and energized states
Installation Note
Important: AE16-30-00 identifies the contact configuration but does not, by itself, identify the installed coil voltage. Confirm the complete ABB suffix and the voltage printed on the coil before connecting control power. Installation and servicing should be performed by qualified electrical personnel.
